We've seen the viral yogurt fruit clusters all over social media, so we Joolie-fied it! The crunch from the chocolate paired with the creamy yogurt and caramel-y bites from the medjool dates is the perfect mix. Not to mention, these little clusters are high in protein thanks to the greek yogurt, which can easily be replaced with a dairy-free yogurt if needed. These are the best fix for any sweet craving--a snack, dessert, or even pre-breakfast (we won't judge you)! We assure you the hardest part about this recipe is having enough patience to let them chill before digging in!

medjool dates

Ingredients you'll need:

    1. Joolies Organic Medjool Dates
      • Diced medjool dates add delicious caramel-like bites and natural sweetness to the inside of the clusters. Whether you're team pitted or whole, both work equally as delicious and still give you all the amazing benefits of dates
    2. Greek Yogurt
      • You can choose any yogurt you fancy for this recipe! We went with Chobani Greek yogurt, which made for a perfect balance of tart and sweet to these bites while boosting the protein content as well.
    3. Dark Chocolate Chunks
      • The smooth and delicious chocolate coating that encases the yogurt date filling which makes for the most satisfying crunch. We recommend using a dark chocolate without fillers or artificial sweeteners (it takes longer to melt and isn't great for your body either) like Hu Kitchen, or Enjoy Life Foods.
    4. Coconut Oil
      • Adding a little bit of this to the chocolate chunks before melting makes it easier for dipping and will ensure a smooth, glossy finish on the shell helps! Plus coconut oil has stellar health benefits, one being composed of healthy fatty acids called MCTs which promote brain function.
    5. Sea Salt
      • The perfect garnish! Adding a sprinkle of flakey sea salt to the top of these clusters will finish off the taste with a hint of saltiness that's essential to every treat.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 10 Joolies dates, pitted
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil, unrefined
  • flakey sea salt

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Pit dates (if needed) and chop into fine pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt and dates and mix until the dates are evenly distributed.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop the date-yogurt mixture into 6-8 clusters on the sheet. Pop in the freezer to chill until yogurt is solid.
  4. In a small bowl, add the chocolate and coconut oil to a bowl and heat in 30 second increments, stirring in-between, until melted.
