Ingredients you'll need:

Honey Date Upside-Down Puff Pastry Tarts

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Prepare the egg wash by whisking one egg with 1 tbsp of water and set aside.

  2. Cut the thawed puff pastry into six, 4x4 squares. Then pit each date and slice into slivers.

  3. First, drizzle 1 tbsp of honey on the parchment paper then place several date slices on top of the honey. Next, place one square of puff pastry over the dates.

  4. Once they are all assembled, seal the edges by gently pressing them down with a fork. Brush the egg wash on top of each tart.

  5. Pop the pastries in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown. Let them cool for a few minutes before flipping them over. For a finishing touch, drizzle some honey on top before serving and enjoy!
