Well if you are still here, then you picked the right answer😉 These Lazy Chocolate Turtles will make you wonder why you even considered a trip to Candyland--because we all know giving up was not a feasible option. For a no bake, no fuss, no fail treat, these healthier homemade turtles are made of three simple ingredients: pecan halves, Joolies medjool dates, and dark chocolate!

Tthis cluster candy has a sticky caramel filling typically made with pure refined sugar, butter, corn syrup, and heavy cream. But you don't need all those ingredients for a delicious caramel! Because of their caramely texture and flavor, Joolies medjool dates make the perfect caramel layer without all the junk. Plus you get all the nutritional benefits from dates like fiber, potassium, Vitamin B, etc in a delicious vegan, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free dessert form!

Ingredients you'll need:

    1. Joolies Medjool Dates
      • We love using our pitted option for these, but whole work just as well! Just be sure to remove the pit😉If you're running low on your stock of dates, you can buy some in bulk right here or in our 2 pack right here!
    2. Raw Pecan Halves
      • This nut is a key player in turtles! We opted for a raw pecan half, but roasted works as well.
    3. Dark Chocolate
    4. Flakey Sea Salt
      • This little addition takes things up a notch. Totally optional, but highly recommended😎
